The founders of Two Crows Housing became close friends while living together in a converted school bus in an on-campus trailer park at the University of California, Santa Cruz. We were attracted to the trailer park by the affordable rent and good location. Once living there, we realized that in addition to the affordability and convenience, we also gained a community. We learned that, though often stigmatized, trailer parks can be beautiful, functional communities. The small living spaces encouraged residents to use community areas and interact in a way that is often lacking in conventional neighborhoods, and the low cost of owning a trailer facilitated residency from a mix of economic classes. Since college we have built and lived in a number of different tiny homes in both rural and urban spaces. Our goal is to provide space for people to create the kinds of communities in which we love to live!
